It’s almost summer . . . and summer planning is in full swing! Don’t forget to schedule in summer lessons. Skipping summer lessons is the same as missing three months of your work-out plan. You have come this far and . . . stopped! There are several compelling reasons to keep going.
- Some may look at piano lessons as an extra-curricular activity. However, learning an instrument is different than being part of a book club or a cake-decorating class. Learning a musical skill is a physical sensation – it takes muscle memory, coordination, in addition to learning many new notes and musical definitions! Learning a musical instrument is skill-based and regular lessons are essential. Stopping for several months would actually cause attrition.
- So, a summer without lessons and progress would be wasting the money spent on piano lessons for the whole school year! Retain those skills and move forward.
- Summer lessons are just so much fun. No homework, long afternoons . . . lots of time to practice the piano without school pressure! The extra time gives a chance to focus on perfecting a challenge piece, learning to compose, learning improvisation . . . the summer music options are endless!
So, don’t delay! Fill out the summer scheduling form for lessons and make it the best summer of piano for your child yet!
